General Tso

September 14, 2004, 11:53 AM

I have a Boo on the move.

Someday I may have to stop calling her Boo to avoid some sort of transient situational disturbance in her Mighty Boo Brain, but for right now, she likes it and just about everyone calls her that. I don't think most people know her name is really Danielle. I think some are even afraid that her real name is BooBoo.

Some call her BooBoo automatically and then they think about it and obviously seem sort of embarrassed that they just called a kid they don't know real well "BooBoo", but I can assure you Ms.BooBooZilla does not care.

General Tso, the rooster, has gone to live with a colony of Roosters, chickens and ducks that I'm quite confident will not be eaten. We went to visit him yesterday and he's hanging out with two other rooster dudes. We started throwing out some chicken feed and then a menagerie of ducks infiltrated our space and took over the chicken feed area.

General Tso is still young and acts like a baby in some ways. That's why he was hangin' with the more seasoned roosters of the place. He got too close to food and the big rooster pecked at him. Stupid big rooster!

So after all the watching of TV, one of my least favorite shows is the Newlywed one with J@ssica Simps0n and her husband, Old Nick Baby. And I guess the reason I find it way too annoying is this chick grew up in a religious family and some of the values seem to be lost. Like, she complains all the time. Nick rents some sort of old bently or some such car for their anniversary and they get in and her first comment is "The air conditioning is too loud." She went to do some show on a military base and was complaining about the lack of concession stuff offered. Sure, it was cheesy, but geez people. Is there anything your grateful for?

Ine show Nick and her dad go golfing and the dad spends the ENTIRE time on the cell phone. I found it really ridiculous and I'm sure that's the focus of the cameras. That was the point, to show this dude on his cell phone the whole time while his son-in-law is being ignored.

It's probably typical for this generation and mine too. People complain a lot about stupid shit. Things aren't handed to them and shouldn't be, but it's expected.

Ok, so I sit on the couch a lot and wonder what the people across from us do for a living. This was the case with people that lived there last year. The dad was always home and the mom worked for sure. This family, I can't figure it out. Maybe they won the lottery? But the dad doesn't seem to do outside work and the mom is usually always home too. It's not like they seem to have a lot of "stuff", but what do they do? And how do they do it?
