Today is Lee's last day. The guy that took Lee's place in his other job told Lee a few days ago that he was going to try to get him out early, yet give him severance pay for this last week he's not working. And they did it. I'm surprised. I'm surprised they just didn't let him go when he announced his two weeks. I'm shocked that didn't happen.

So it sort of happened, but they're paying him. Lee's pretty aware that they don't want him talking to the guy that will be taking his place, but he could care less. Not sure what they think Lee's going to be saying. I can pretty much guess what's going to happen. This guy isn't going to be adequately trained. Within a month it will be said that he's "not performing". Telling someone how to do things and actually training them are two different things. So it'll be said that he was "told" but I'll fall over and have fits if they actually "train" this guy. I know Lee was "told" a lot, but actual "training" was scarce.

I'm surprised the store Lee managed got business at all. The shopping center itself is a bad placement. It's not a destination point. It's not easy to get to. It's one of those places you can see from the freeway but don't know how to get to. There are malls that are known and people flock to them. This particular mall doesn't have anything that draw's people. The kids that come in live in the area. I think the bunker is supposed to be the club house, so to speak, but no one is going to make the drive to go there.

Anyway, I think with all the crap Lee went through, the store did really well. His guys worked hard for him and were really good kids. Lee has no complaints from the kids that worked for him. But then again he gave them motivation. GW needed more employees with motivation and spirit. That was Lee. I'll guess Lee wasn't always totally organized, however we all have stuff we need to work on. I think his enthusiasm and knowledge of the hobby was really good. It's too bad they don't get how to treat employees.
