DPH, the ex, makes at least $70K a year, if not more. So it's a puzzle to me why he told the girls that mommy's taking all daddy's money when he pays the state amount of child support ordered and no more. Not only do we have rent, electricity, food, transportation, heat to pay for, we also pay for all their clothing, school supplies, school field trips, birthday parties, birthday gifts for friends parties, etc. etc. He doesn't shell out anything else. In the past the girls have asked for things and he said "That's what your mom gets child support for."

I don't get support, the girls get support. The girls have learned that they don't ask him for a thing.

That's ok though. I benefit from having the girls most of the time. Period.
