Roaster?

September 02, 2003, 12:11 PM

VulcanologistBoo is sleeping it off right now, so I thought I'd update for the second time today.

Our new neighbor has to be a vampire because he always always has his shades down and we never ever see him. Ever.

Our address and his address are off by a 1/2, very confusing for most mail personnel and Fed Ex and the Big Brown Truck. So our packages get delivered to the neighbor on a most regular basis. I don't think he knows that we are the 1/2 of his address so my packages...so very important girly clothes, just sit on his front porch. I realized that their shoes, which I'm sure are too small, were probably sitting on his porch and just got them this very second.

I need to write him a note. Because the dude just doesn't know. Who could blame him? We have a fucked up address. It's 1/2 of his.

Yup.

Plus, also, he doesn't venture out ever. And I don't think he's very social. He's a solitary vampire.

Not much on yard work. Well hey, neither am I.

It is time for

Betty's Diary of Pain

That time of day where I whine about my pain. Oh yes people, you were all waiting for this one, weren't you?

Well, today it's not so bad. Ya know? Boo woke up at 4am and I jumped out of bed and now I can't sleep and I'm on a coffee high.

Speaking of high's, I like the song by Duncan Sheik. I'm on a High.

And it is so not Duncan Sheik.

Duncan has small shoulders. And you know what that means...

Small shirts.

So far, no chicken coop.

I mean, it's almost done. But dad has been working on T's and Sis' front porch. Which has been needing to be done for 3 years now. It was a stupid front porch. The door swings out and the door was as big as the top of the front porch. Ok, it wasn't even a porch, it was just cement steps. So the door swung out and to get past the door that swings OUT, you had to stay put on the second to last step...It's hard to explain but very dangerous for Sis's grandma and for my mom and everyone else. JessJess has taken a tumble a few times into the bushes.

So whatever. Dad helped him with that and while he was over there yesterday, I mowed their lawn. Basically mowing dead grass, but there were leaves and weeds growing. I don't understand why the weeds get 3 feet high when the grass is dead.

The chicken coop is looking well. My parents stopped by a hardware store and got pre-mixed exterior paint that no one picked up and it was cheap. But good paint. Benjamin Moore Low Lustre Exterior Paint.

Color: Bavarian Cream.

You just know that the chicken is going to be in love with this coop right?

I named the chicken Thumbelina.

And if she doesn't work out, we always have a roasting pan.

Oh geez, you know I'm a veg head.

***By the way, made an appointment for a pain specialist. His earliest appointment? December 3rd. I took it. My doctor left and the current doctor is ok, but when I'm in pain, it's going to take an act of god to get her to prescribe me pain medication again.

"I thought you said you're feeling better?"

Not sure she gets it. It's a weird thing. You have a condition that is up and down and sideways, and then it's ok for a small while. Then you want pain meds again and they treat you like you're a drug seeker. I'm not, I just want to feel normal.
